The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is seeking candidates for the
position of Director, Special Events for the Southeastern and Southern
New Jersey Region. Be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team located in
Bala Cynwyd, PA dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people
with diabetes.
This position requires leadership, creative planning and management
skills. Qualified candidates should have a proven track record of
planning and executing special events that have raised six figures or
more. Successful implementation of walk related activities a plus.
Director is responsible for recruitment and management of four event
staff. Qualified candidates will also have extensive experience working
with volunteers, and corporate decision makers. Strong presentation
skills, oral and written are a requirement. Exemplary attention to
detail and ability to manage multiple activities necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Five consecutive years of similar work experience
- Demonstrated experience of coaching and leading a team to success
- Experience with income and expense procedures and reporting
- Familiarity with financial reports and analysis
- Expert level proficiency with MS Office
- Access to a car as local travel is required
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
